The Founder

A boutique agency built on medicine, experience, and genuine care for the practices she serves.

Andrea Rodgers is the founder, President, and CEO of Grace & Grit Marketing — a boutique medical marketing and communications agency specializing in dermatology, cosmetic surgery, and independent medical practices. Based in Shelby, North Carolina, between Charlotte and Asheville, she works directly with physicians and practice leaders nationwide to create strategies that increase brand visibility, strengthen patient trust, and generate qualified patient inquiries that support booked appointments and long-term practice growth.

Andrea brings more than two decades of experience across corporate strategy, digital media, and medical marketing. A Wake Forest University graduate with a double major in Economics and Politics, she began her career at Willis Towers Watson, then Daimler-Benz, and later Oracle — building a foundation in business strategy before ever writing a single marketing plan.

The daughter of a pathologist and a fashion designer, she grew up in a home where medicine and aesthetics were both taken seriously. That combination shapes everything she does — the clinical credibility, the visual refinement, and the understanding that a great practice deserves a brand that reflects the care behind it.

“I love building long-term relationships with my clients. The real joy is seeing a strategy come to life — watching campaigns succeed, patient inquiries increase, and practice revenue grow.”

2008 · The Pivot

She took a leap, built something from nothing, and learned what it really takes to grow.

In September 2008, Andrea left corporate America to launch her own marketing agency and a blog that grew into a national online magazine at the intersection of charity and style. That platform, AskMissA.com, became one of the earliest lifestyle destinations built for the social media era. She grew it into a national, volunteer-driven community with 700 contributors across 21 major U.S. cities — reaching millions of readers and learning firsthand what it takes to build an audience from scratch.

Media & Influence

Her work and point of view caught the attention of Vogue

Which hand-selected her as a founding member of The Vogue 100 — a recognition that opened doors to national campaigns with luxury and consumer brands including SK-II Skincare, Pantene, Ann Taylor, and Equinox.

Medical Marketing Expertise

Sixteen years focused on medicine, aesthetics, and practice growth.

Andrea’s work in medical marketing brings together her background in corporate strategy, digital media, and lifelong exposure to both medicine and design. For more than 16 years, she has helped medical and aesthetic practices grow through website strategy, SEO, paid media, social media, patient communication, reputation-building, and increased patient volume.

She served for more than a decade as Digital Marketing Director for internationally recognized dermatologist Dr. Tina Alster at the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery. She also directed strategy for Dr. George Bitar at the Bitar Cosmetic Surgery Institute and for the Washington Center for Dentistry, a practice known for serving prominent media personalities, professional athletes, and elected officials.

Across every engagement, clients work directly with Andrea — not through layers of account managers or templated systems. Her approach follows a clear process: understanding each practice’s goals and competitive landscape, building a focused strategy, executing across channels, and continuously optimizing based on real performance data. The result is marketing that works in support of your practice, not another burden on your team.

Today

When you work with Grace & Grit, you work with Andrea.

After breast cancer surgery in 2019, Andrea made the decision to move Grace & Grit back to her hometown of Shelby, North Carolina — to be closer to family and to the community she grew up in. She built a fully remote model that allows her to serve practices nationwide with the same responsiveness and senior-level attention her clients had always known. That chapter deepened something already central to her work: the understanding that patients need to feel safe, seen, and confident in the providers they choose. She brings that perspective to every practice she serves.

Whether your practice is just finding its footing or ready to take things to the next level, Andrea brings sharp business insight, polished creative direction, and a genuine understanding of what it takes to grow with confidence.
